Grappa Barricata Pronol
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Pronol family from Valdobbiadene, in the Province of Treviso, Italy, was already producing wines, liqueurs and spirits renowned all over the eastern Veneto region. Brand name Pronol today takes up those traditions and old artisan recipes anew and offers a refined selection of products.
This Grappa is made using a still designed by Comboni, a renowned researcher at the Oenology school of Conegliano. Inside this special still, any hydroalcoholic humour of white grape marc is exhausted by the action of a current of steam. At the end of distillation, it is frozen at a temperature of -10°C and then any remaining molecule is filtered. This grappa is left ageing for 12 months in oak barrels, in order to acquire its typical hints of vanilla and and its amber color.

Aged Grappa can help digestion, so it is perfect after meals. It is a distillate 'for thoughts and meditation'. It is an ingredient for cocktails and long drinks. It can accompany the tasting of dark chocolate. It is traditionally used to correct the espresso coffee and, in the Veneto and Friuli, to dilute the last drops of coffee, remaining on the bottom of the cup (Resentin).
